Lionfish Spine Earrings

I make these earrings using the beautiful dorsal spines from Cayman’s invasive Lionfish. They are no longer venomous!! I snip away the sharp ends from them, glue them into the settings and meticulously coat each one 3 times with a jeweler’s varnish before assembling the finished pieces. Wear them to do your part to raise awareness of the dangers of introduced species!
