User Terms of use
Ordering Process
You can log onto our Local Market site anytime to add items to your cart and/or complete an order. We will notify you by email with the details of your order and delivery details. Payment is due when the order is placed. Your order is only confirmed as Final once the Vendor has confirmed that they can fill the items and the delivery date(s).
Once the order is confirmed as Final, you will be notified of its status and the delivery date.
Orders are non-refundable (due to their perishable nature) after 12 hours of being placed. Please appreciate that the farmer or vendor is harvesting or making the items by hand especially for you. Cancelling a confirmed order results in food wastage and is costly for everyone.
Payment Terms
Payment will be processed when you complete checkout of your order. It may take your bank up to 48 hours for the transaction to show in your account. If payment is rejected for any reason, your order will be canceled. Our secure payment options are:
Debit/Credit card- We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover
All prices are in KYD (Cayman Islands Dollars).
Please note that if your card is denominated in a currency other than Cayman Islands Dollars you may incur bank and foreign exchanges charges for planning an order.
Delivery
For deliveries island-wide, there is a delivery charge of KYD$10. Deliveries occur between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM (Monday to Saturday)
When we notify you of your delivery date and time, we will ask you to confirm your delivery address and any specific instructions. We always recommend you give an up to date cellphone number when placing an order so our delivery driver can contact you if necessary for directions etc.
As you are receiving food items which are highly affected by temperature and weather conditions, delivery requires signature by someone at the delivery address. Please make arrangements to be at the address you provide, or to have someone else sign for delivery on your behalf. We can deliver to your home or office address.
IMPORTANT: We will not leave items at your door without someone signing for it.
Delivery Conditions
You must make all appropriate arrangements to assist and allow us to deliver your order, including obtaining any prior security, or other approvals which may apply to your delivery location.
We do not deliver on Sundays and Public Holidays. TO BE CONFIRMED
In the case of inclement weather or other events beyond our control that interfere with our ability to deliver your order, we will attempt to deliver your order as soon as reasonably possible. In some cases, delivery may occur prior to the scheduled delivery date. In the event that timely delivery of your order is not feasible, we will contact you to arrange alternate delivery date and time.
If we attempt to deliver on the confirmed date/time and no one is available to receive the delivery, we will notify you of attempted delivery and provide you with a pickup address at the delivery company offices in George Town so that you may pick up there.
Your attempted delivery items will be held at our pickup address for 24 hours after which they will be donated to the hungry.
Issues with Delivery
If your delivery is not received on the confirmed date/time, please notify us at admin@resilience.ky within 12 hours of such occurrence.
Issues with condition of items received
If the items received are in poor or incomplete condition, please notify us at admin@resilience.ky within 12 hours of such occurrence. In the case of defective products, please attach a photo of the item(s) in their original condition and packaging to your email.
Limitation of Liability
Resilience Cayman is a registered non-profit organization that operates and manages the online platform called Local Market, to support local farmers and build food security for all residents of the Cayman Islands. Resilience Cayman does not produce the produces delivered and you acknowledge that Resilience Cayman is not liable for the quality of the products which you select and purchase from any of the vendors that list their products for sale on Local Market’s website. All the Vendors that participate on Local Market are independent businesses and the quality of their products has not been verified in any manner by Resilience Cayman.
Further by utilising the Local Markey online platform you agree to indemnify Resilience Cayman for any and all liability resulting from Resilience Cayman delivering the products you have requested to you.
Cancellations
If you would like to cancel within 12 hours of placing your order, please email admin@resilience.ky
Orders are non-refundable 12 hours after they are placed.
Pricing and Availability
While we try and ensure that all details, descriptions and prices which appear on the Local Market are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of any products which you have ordered we will inform you of this error as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled and a full refund will be issued.
You agree to indemnify Resilience Cayman for any loss that may occur as a result of mispriced or misdescribed products listed and ordered by you from Local Market.
Loyalty Rewards
When you shop in Local Market you are eligible to earn loyalty points which will accumulate in your account and can be redeemed for rewards on the website at a later time.
Emails and Newsletters
We may send you emails, promotions and newsletters from time to time which you can unsubscribe from at anytime using the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the newsletter email.
Promotions/ Discounts
Only one promotion can be applied per order. This applies to promotional codes as well as any other new sign up incentive.
Our Right to Change Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to modify and alter these terms and conditions without notice to you. It is your obligation to periodically review these terms and conditions to ensure your on-going compliance with them.
We may alter these terms and conditions from time to time to manage the changes that occur in our business model due to changes in the market, technology, regulatory requirements, and relevant laws.
